Pharmacokinetics: Barbiturates are absorbed in different levels pursuing oral, rectal, or parenteral administration. The salts are more rapidly absorbed than are the acids. The onset of motion for oral or rectal administration differs from twenty to 60 minutes. For IM administration, the onset of motion is a little more rapidly. Subsequent IV admin
